How To Skateboard Like a Champ

- The Board

- Deck: It is the wooden board on which you will stand.
- Grip tape: It’s attached to the top of the board. This adhesive sandpaper stops the skater’s feet from sliding off the board.
- Nose: This is the front of the deck, which is larger than the back.

- Pick the Stance

- How to Push?
Your front foot must get placed to cover the front truck bolts. It must face the board’s nose at a slight angle and use your back foot to push the board.
For more speed, you will have to push multiple times. Once you have achieved the rate you desire, place the back foot on the tail. Once the spinal foot is on the board, pivot the front foot to the same perpendicular position as your back foot.
- How to Turn?
While your feet are in the skate position, lean in the direction you want to turn by placing the pressure on the heels or toes, it’s essential to keep the center’s weight. So that you don’t lose balance as the board turns.
- How to Stop?
To stop, you must take your back foot off the board’s tail while you are still in motion and place it on the ground parallel to the board on the toe side. Then, drag your back foot along the group and apply pressure to the foot until you stop.
Make sure to even the weight placed on the feet. If you don’t, you will stop, but the board will keep going.
Getting Over the Fear of Falling
Riding a skateboard isn’t easy. Beginners often face the fear of failing. The truth is, you can’t learn and become a pro if you can’t overcome this fear.
